Michael E. Kelley

Mick “MEK” is serving a life sentence and has been a prisoner for many years, having survived many prisons.

Raised primarily in Lewiston, Turner, and Livermore Falls, Maine, for the last thirty-plus years or more, he has been a guest at MCI-Cedar Junction (formerly Walpole) and MCI-Norfolk.

Although incarcerated, MEK has always written poetry and illustrated numerous books, logos, and religious graphics for the Catholic community. All the poetry and artwork in the books titled “Pencil in the Hole” and “God’s Broken Machine” are the work of Michael E. Kelley, AKA MEK.
